Devoting my life to fitness training has been fulfilling, but it took over thirty years for my true coaching and self-improvement journey to begin. Instead of succumbing to the pressures of a challenging and chaotic time for my family and me, I sought guidance from professionals and others with similar experiences, committing to personal understanding and growth. I am deeply thankful to my children, Arrie and Zachary, for their similar dedication to self-improvement and awareness, and I’m grateful that our bond is stronger than ever. Although my journey didn’t follow the path I had envisioned, the resilience I’ve gained gives me confidence in my continued growth and learning.
The healing began in October 2022 when Arrie and I struggled to coax my beloved, talented and troubled Zachary into the car to admit him to a 90-day recovery program in Montana. There were moments when I doubted we’d make it through the next 48 hours, but I was strengthened by the knowledge that completing this cross-country trip was essential for my son’s recovery from depression and substance dependence. At the time, my sole focus was to secure the help my son needed. However, through this process, I realized how much support I also required and discovered the many resources available to me.
The real growth and breakthroughs I’ve had personally and professionally started when I began individual and family therapy and joined support groups. Hearing and sharing stories with people in similar situations was eye-opening, helping me gain insight into my own circumstances and take charge of my own path forward.
While continuing my work as a fitness and nutrition coach, I realized the crucial role self-awareness plays in both physical and emotional health. This insight inspired me to become a mindset coach, where I now apply the skills and knowledge I've gained to help others identify and improve their behavior patterns. By applying these techniques, I aim to guide my clients through their own pivotal processes. The growth I’ve experienced through my training has been truly profound, and I’m thrilled to continue exploring this work. As a certified Neuro-Linguistic Programming practitioner, Time Therapy practitioner, and Hypnotherapist, I’m here to support you on your path to wellness.
